Recently, Joshua came home from
mowing rather discouraged...
A piece of metal
that held the ramp of
his new trailer
had broken off...

| Samuel points to the part that broke... |
He knew that he needed to
have it repaired
in order to carry his
equipment safely...
But dreaded having to
find someone who did this type of work.
And worried about the cost
and the time he would be
without his trailer
while it was being repaired.
Our youngest, Samuel,
took one look at it and said...
"I can fix that...it won't take any time at all!"
Donning his welding gear...
Samuel set off to the garage.

And in the time it took me to
hang out a few loads of laundry
and iron a few shirts...
He was finished!
Samuel learned to how to weld
from my husband...
because he was interested in cars and such.
Webster defines welding in this way...
1. to unite (metallic parts) by heating
and allowing the metals to flow together
or by hammering or compressing with
or without previous heating
2. to repair by this same method
But Webster also provides a
third definition for the word weld...
3. to unite or reunite closely or intimately
This third definition
reminds me of the kind
of family that the Lord
has blessed me with.
He united us all together...
Each with different interests...
Each with special talents...
All for the purpose of helping each other
and for honoring and serving Him.
"Iron sharpeneth iron;
so a man sharpeneth
the countenance of his friend."
Proverbs 27:17
