My parents celebrated their
69th Wedding Anniversary
this week...
10 children...
18 grandchildren...
14 great-grandchildren...
and two more on the way!
What an amazing testimony
to the abundant blessings
of our Lord...
We struggled with a gift idea...
Since they are trying to sell there house
and will be downsizing considerably...
We finally decided on this...
We bought them a new recycling bin
(our town has an amazing recycling system!)
and filled it with 69 items
that we know they could use
on a daily or weekly basis...
With a few "added" treats
tucked in!
Things like soap, tissues,
canned goods, tape,
doggie treats...
They absolutely loved it!
What fun we had...
thinking about them...
and shopping for all 69 items
the past few weeks!
And what fun they had...
Reaching inside to see all
69 goodies!
They were like two kids
in a candy shoppe!
Happy 69th Anniversary,
Dad and Mom...
We love you!
And we can't wait to start
planning for your 70th!

That was a very thoughtful gift and you can tell by the photos that they were having fun going through it. I love finding positive up-lifting blogs. I want to surround my life with people that love the Lord and each other. The brighter we can let our light shine and the more we enjoy our many blessings, the better is world becomes.
