Samuel came home from his part-time job
at the garage this evening
with 3 bags full of groceries...
A turkey, stuffing, corn, pumpkin bread,
green beans, pumpkin pie, crackers, potatoes,
green beans, pumpkin pie, crackers, potatoes,
cranberry sauce, and homemade rolls!
A gift...
from his boss and mentor...
The wonderful man who is teaching Samuel
everything he knows about auto repair...
Just his way of saying...
"Happy Thanksgiving!"
A bagful of blessings, indeed!
We have so very much to be thankful for...
Enter into His gates with thanksgiving,
and into His courts with praise:
be thankful unto Him,
and bless His name.
For the Lord is good;
His mercy is everlasting;
and His truth endureth to all generations."
and into His courts with praise:
be thankful unto Him,
and bless His name.
For the Lord is good;
His mercy is everlasting;
and His truth endureth to all generations."
Psalm 100

What a nice "bagful of blessings" Samuel was given. God bless his friend. Yes, we have alot to be thankful for, Laura. Today we will spend with my sister and her family enjoying a delicious meal, enjoying each other's company, taking a "turkey trot" to walk off the meal, and thanking God for all his many blessings. Wishing you and your sweet family a happy Thanksgiving.

Dear Kathy,
DeleteThank you so much for stopping by on this special day to wish us sweet blessings! Hope you had just the best time with your sister and her family...we spent the day hunting (no deer yet...but there is still time!) and then sat down to a big turkey feast cooked on and in the cookstove...so yummy! We have so very much to be thankful for!
Sweet blessings, my friend!
Laura
P.S. We are just about to head out for our "after turkey trot"...we walk with headlamps in the dark on our dirt road and through the woods. The end to a perfect day!!!
What a blessing you received! :-) God is so good to send us surprises in different ways, in your case, by the bagfuls! :-)
ReplyDeleteIt was such a thoughtful gift, Miss Melinda! The man that Samuel works for is so quiet and kind...he is always doing things for others...without taking any credit. He sent a similar package home last year. We feel very blessed that he is a part of Samuel's life...and ours too!
DeleteHope you and your family had a most blessed Thanksgiving!
Mrs. Laura

ps I love the ending to your day..walking out on the dirt road..so fun..
Dear Judy,
DeleteMy husband and I walk every evening...and now, since the time change...we walk in the dark. We are so blessed to live on a dirt road with very little traffic...just the perfect spot for an evening stroll!
Hope you are all having a wonderful weekend!
Sweet blessings, dear friend,
Laura
What a wonderful gift. I'm sure you've all been enjoying it! :) I hope you all had a nice Thanksgiving. We have so much to be thankful for. Take care, my friend, and have a wonderful week! ♥
ReplyDeleteDear Melanie,
DeleteThis gentleman that Sam works for is such a wonderful man. He has taught Sam so much...and is so very good to him. We have become great friends with him and his whole family. Sam actually goes sterning with his son (helps him on his lobster boat) some Saturdays during the summer and fall. We truly feel blessed to have these folks in our lives.
Hope you all had the best Thanksgiving and are enjoying getting ready for Christmas!
With love,
Laura
